My girlfriend has an rx8. we race alot from lights and i kick her a**. but she's a crappy driver. i never tell her but i wonder how would her car do against mine with the right person driving.

 

I believe they have 2 types of RX8's. One has like 190hp and the other has around 220. I think the 220 one will be a good race, but I think you will win and if its the one with 190, you would murder it.

 

i dont know what one she has. i know that thing dosnt red line until like 8000 rpms. if im not mistaken

 

Yeah I know their powerband is very long, but those cars were built for the track, and not a drag racing track.

 

I raced one and it was not close at all, I don't know what kind it was. Drag racers they are not. They put out like 30 lbs of torque or something. Even with a good driver it shouldn't be a threat.

 

They are slow, no concern for you. The manuals run a BEST of high 14s, the autos run like mid 15s. I beat one bad from a roll in my stang when I had just intake, canned tune, axle back exhaust.

 

dont worry about it......ive beaten rx8's.....and mines pretty much stock with 158k miles on her........unless they couldnt drive, cuz, i thought itd have been closer, but, nope. i literally walked away from him.

 

ive heard of manual 99+ v6s keeping up with the automatic rx-8. they only have like 58 lbs of torque (or was it 158) for sum reason, the rx-7s were a lelluva lot faster than the current ones

 

what about in a long distance. dont the rx8 makes power the longer it run

 

Their slow plain and simple, from a dig a non PI mustang would kill one if you can drive and as for the PI's, haha its a waste of their time, they run high 14's and dont start their pull until about 3rd gear....
