i thought i would win, but seriously im not the street racing type person. A kid at my school just got a 350z and my friend said he wants to race me. I told him i dont race though. I just needed to know b/c my friend said id loose b/c the 350 is light and my car is heavy. What do you think he'd run in the 1/4 mile and how much hp and torque do the new 350's have(to the flywheel). the sad part is the kid lives in a trailor and he has like a 30k dollar car.

 

I'm not sure about there HP #'s, but my 01 beat one with just flowmaster's, you shouldn't even worry about it.
Off topic but I don't think that is sad, his parents are broke and he is showing some drive to live a better life because I am guessing his parents didn't pay for that car. Good for him.

Find one with a good driver and they are damn quick, they run between 13.7-13.9@100+, from a roll their quick, much faster then an srt-4 from a roll, go from a dig with one and you should beat it, but up top they are quick. The new ones "06" are a higher hp now so i have no clue how quick those are.

 

If he is stock, you will embarrass the hell out of him.

 

Stock against you it is you bad from a stop, and from a roll it would be closer but I think you got it.

 

You have an auto? I've been told that auto Mustangs are noticably slower than manuals. A manual 350Z is definitely a 13 second car. If he can drive it should be a good race, but I will give you the edge due to torque and horsepower.
