not sure what he had done, he pulled me off the line by a lil bit but i gained on him and stopped around 80 or so, after all said and done he beat me by about half a car length, my head was by his rear quater panel, what do those cars run.. low 13's right

 

I got mine in the fall so I haven't had a chance to run it yet and it's still bone stock.

It's quick and pulls pretty well for stock but I doubt very much that it's a low 13 sec car stock. I am hoping to get mid-high 13s out of it stock in the spring.

 

yeah now that i remeber what i've seen from them at the track its around 13.6 or so, but i was happy to hang ya know, my car doesn't even feel way fast, but i guess it holds it own..

 

Stock autos run 13.7-14.2, the manuals 13.5 and up with the occasional one running 13.40s.

 

I raced one a while back, it was one of the best races I've ever had.

 

Stock, the manual ones can probably hang with you down low but I am sure by 80 you started to pull. The top end on the stock 3vs is not that good.

That's pretty much what happened, except that it was more like 65-70 when I inched ahead. We didn't get anywhere near 100, I don't think.

 

I have a vert (see mods) and I am currently running 13.4 . My top end pulls all the way to redline, and feels like it could go alot farther if I pushed it. With 3v heads, this motor has great potential with proper tuning. If I felt I could safely rev to 8K I would and it would probably pull the whole way there. I'll be able to hit 12's on the motor with ease from this point. In a convertible, As far as I'm concerned, that's fast. (braggin rights)

 

ha ha well he was a manual. and yeah i was gainin on him but didn't get past him, close though.. but im still waitin on my m.a.f. sensor that's calibrated for those bigger injectors, my car is dog till 2,000 rpm
