So me and my friend leave work today, I pull out of the parking lot, keep it in first and slow down really slow, he pulls up next to me and we gun it at the same time. We keep about even till I powershift into 2nd and pull instantly about 3/4 a car on him, then by the time i hit 3rd I have a decent lead. It's a forumula firebird automatic with the LT1 engine, and I have bad traction problems with old worn street tires. I drive a 5 speed 01 gt.

 

Sounds about right, it's always a drivers race between the 99-04 2v and 93-97 LT1. Goo druns!

Do u have anything done to the GT, those lt1's can be quick.. the stock gears on the autos for them suck though.. all i know is from a stop or a slow roll the mustang will pull on it ( if the stangs stick ) but on the highway the lt1 will take the stang..

I think thats my favorite thing to watch. LT1 vs PI GT. Its unbelieveable how close they really are.





PS. Kinda off topic but, Camaro guys, does the LT1 Formula firechicken have the SLP mods like the firehawk LS1???????
