Powershifting?

Sorry, I was agreeing with you, and then answering his question if it was possible in auto's.
I've always heard it is REALLY bad and unneccessary to powershift 1-2, but it Really helps if you powershift 2-3, and 3-4. I don't powershift, but I haven't been to the track yet. When I go to the track I plan on powershifting.

Never said it was possible in an auto.

If you can afford to have your transmission repaired from time to time, go for it!
But me, I've never powershifted my car! I have my own method and I can shift very quickly without needing to powershift. My times in stock Mustang GT's have always exceeded published tests and have equalled or exceeded any stock time I've heard for those cars, period, so I seriously doubt I'm missing any significant performance edge by not shifting under full throttle. I love to run my Mustang hard, but I think powershifting is unnecessary for good E.T.s and is too hard on the drivetrain (no matter how fun it might be![8D]).

Really hard on the transmission, and impossible in an auto.

Well I always considered powershifting to be when your driving a manuel and you don't let of the gas to switch gears. Just kinda a quick ,as fast as you can, shift so you don't have any lapse in acceleration. I personally don't like it. If you mis-shift your F'd.

I powershift occasionaly, but i dont like doing it....it is sooooo hard to keep traction, if i power shift 1-2 i literaly go sideways, and if it do it 2-3 i can easily sherp and leave black mark a 3-4 it just grabs and goes, very rarly does it spin there...
My only problem is my arm and shifter are quicker than my leg/foot and my clutch...when i go 1-2 i dont have a problem but 2-3 it grinds sometimes...it goes into gear....but it jsut makes a grinding noise, so i dont like it....
