Powershifting?
Well I always considered powershifting to be when your driving a manuel and you don't let of the gas to switch gears. Just kinda a quick ,as fast as you can, shift so you don't have any lapse in acceleration. I personally don't like it. If you mis-shift your F'd.

Never said it was possible in an auto.

and you arent completely F-ed if you miss the shift, peggin the rev limiter once or twice isnt gonna blow it up (im not saying its good, but yorue not gonna blow up or anything)
powershifting is a must at the drag stip as well
between powershifting ONLY 3-4, and not powershifting at all, went from LOW 99's to a 100.07
I wasn't stressin just thought maybe he mis-read. No biggie. You really dropped that much by just a 3-4 shift? That's actually pretty damn good. I know that it wouldn't blow the motor the first time but still it ain't good for it. It's better to be over caucious than under caucious when it comes to big hp motors.
Now if I could only get my car to big hp numbers. ha ha ha

Really hard on the transmission, and impossible in an auto.

yea, i trapped 99.37 with a 2.22 60' in a 99GT with mods,, which is pretty lousy
and the second time i went to the track, i had DR's and was getting better 60's, but i actually trapped higher on one of my runs because i powershifted 3-4,, only time i ever did it and the only time ive even come close to a 100 trap
if only i could shift better 1-2, 2-3 and then 3-4 i'd be doing alright
i dont do it on the road, at least, not to the floor, i might still give it some gas, but just for messing around and getting some squeal inbetween gears

I've always heard it is REALLY bad and unneccessary to powershift 1-2, but it Really helps if you powershift 2-3, and 3-4. I don't powershift, but I haven't been to the track yet. When I go to the track I plan on powershifting.
