So I was coming back from my bank this morning when an UGLY *** Eagle Talon TSI comes up to me at a stop-light. He reves a few times and i rolled down my window. He asked me what I had done with the car. I told him it was just exhaust and gears. He laughs and says he could beat me. Not knowing until the end of the race that his car was turboed...we waited for the light to turn and I blew off the line and about 9 bus lenths later, he came up to me at another light. He admitted his defeat and drove off.


I ate that car for lunch

It was a 97' TSi

in all honesty.....im shocked. the first gens just had better blocks. same engines(i think). if he had had a boost controller, outcome may have been different. i have a friend with a TSi running a turbo and manifold off an EVO(16G), and hes putting down nearly 300whp on 14psi. his car is SICK !! walks sideways first and half of second gear. and catches third. ive seen video of it. congrats on the win.

 

Why does everyone always say "well, if the other car had this or that the outcome would have been diffrent...."? Of course the outcome could have been diffrent, but it wasn't. If the other car had a jet engine on it the outcome might have been diffrent...but there wasn't.

it had to be a FWD for you to launch on him like that. the AWD launches are sick even when they're stock. But anyways nice kill on the crappy DSM.

The TSIs are AWD so he may have messed up the launch which can be tricky. They are a match for our cars because they are comprable hp and they are AWD.

Good kill but watch out. They can crank up the boost and be made into monsters. I did the same thing but then the next week got eaten by one of them pumping 17 psi of boost and AWD. He even missed third and ate me.
