The new Goats don't do so well from a stop(damn IRS, gets the Terminators too) but are killers from a roll. LS2 es bueno.

Edit: fixed it for you Clif. (put stop instead of roll).

 

I live in az and theres alot of GTOs out here.I see at least two a day.I think the ls1[350hp]is without the hood scoops and the 400 hp ls2 is hood scoops and dual exhaust...they also sound a bit lopier.I raced with one the other day from a stop and he was 2 cars slower for about an 1/8[these cars are slow as hell stock, off the line.it was the 400 hp goat and he made a little ground once we got going.I was faster but anytime u guys race one of these, plan on roasting them off the line and watch their top end.... because the weight is less of an issue, the farther it goes

 

Got a buddy with a stock 05 GTO on MT DR's and he ran 12.8.. put some exhaust on and ran 12.6, not too shabby at all, and those things pull hard from a roll, i mean HARD

 

I think you thinking of the Eaton SC. They frickin scream, inside the car and out.

I don't see where these cars pull that hard from a roll myself, they seem better from a stop to me.

Well, figure the GTO, stock runs high 12's/low 13's. With enough mod's, & a supercharger, he could pull ahead of a stock LSX car.
