Hello! im new to this forum so i thought id post last night's kill! I was just cruisin along the interstate on my way home @ about 1 in the morning doin about 75, and low and behold this gto comes flying by at about 100 then slows down to get next to me and starts givin me the "lets go" signal... i was thrilled, finaly a chance to run with a new GTO! so he takes off first and so i drop it to 3rd and go. he hangs with me all through 3rd,then as soon as i hit 4th i just walk past him about a car length then have to slam the brakes bc a truck is in front of me. i try to catch up with the guy and give thumbs up or maybe even go again, but he wont even look at me and or stay next to me!! i guess he thought it would be an easy win and wasnt to happy with what happened. i have a kb with only 6lb. pulley(cant wait to get the 9lb.!) and exhaust and stock 3:27s....i know the gto had atleast exhaust but not sure of anything else. I wish i couldve ran him from a lower speed and then see what wouldve happened...oh well. let me know what you guys think!!

 

sounds doable...what year GT ?? just the KB(at 6psi), exhaust and stock gears ?? full exhaust ?? impressive. congrats.

 

sweetness...I just raced a newer GTO but I wasn't sure if it was a 6.0. I lost by about a car's length but then again mine's naturally aspirated Still, I was impressed with my mustang because I was neck and neck with him until about 3rd gear.

 

thanks! its an 04 gt full exhaust with cold air and 6lb pulley...its starting to feel reeeaal slow now that im getting used to it though. you know how that goes..its just never enough!

Amen to that! I remember when I first bought this mustang about a month ago; I thought I wouldn't ever get used to the sensitivity of the gas and the quick ripping through the gears with the 4.10s.

 

Nice kill. I bet he got a surprise when he heared the KB scream.

 

KBs are relatively quiet, especially if you have an exhaust.
