Another SRT-4....
The key with racing srt's is to race them from a dig. I've raced a stage 2 srt with other goodies and beat him. So if I were to race this stock srt4 from a dig, I would have defanitly beat him. And my car is just about stock as well.
i've experienced first hand what the srt-4's and RSX type-S are capable of. dont know if the srt-4 was stock or not but the rsx type-S had cold air and headers.
i just bought my bullitt and i'm absolutely in love. i've lowered it, got the c&L cold air and some cobra pulleys. o and it came with an offroad h-pipe and some f/m's. but anyways, im really stoked cuz i've only had it for about 2 months now and havnt lost a race. Still havn't had a chance to race my friends evo VIII (which im not really looking forward to) but i actually spanked on an srt-4 last night. i wasnt planning on racing, just cuz i was actually a little intimidated by those sweet *** blow off valves, but he kept rompin on me so sick at the stoplight that i had to let out a couple of sick rev's myself (which f**king sounded even harder). to make a very long story short, the light turned green, and i launched on his ***. im not trying to talk **** on the SRT-4 but there was no way he could beat me. it was a pretty uneven match up. by second gear i had him by two cars and pulled even more by third. we took off once again and the same thing happened. by the third light his excuse was he needed gas. im not a mechanic so im not sure if gas will really impact the car that much.prob. not
o and the rsx-type-s is sweet and pretty quick off the line but also didnt have a chance. i use to have a v-6 pony and would get whooped on all the time. im glad i saved up my money and found a sweet GT stang. by this summer i will have a supercharger for sure.
any one living in cali (909) area hit me up.
anyone owning a GT that has raced an EVO VIII let me know how bad the loss was. if you lost at all.
Later guys

I lost to an Evo. Bad. Off the line they are just killers. My car was stock at the time though. With 4.10's and a CAI/Tune, I want to see if it narrows the gap some, lol!
With my SRT, they are not even a challenge. (My SRT kills them)

ORIGINAL: STANMAN
Mustang, but my SRT is faster.

I beat my first SRT-4 last night on the way to work, two short races from a roll. First one I started behind him at about 50, easy win. Second one he started from just behind me at about 55/60, that one was a little tougher. I caught up to him, walked him, but stopped when I was about 2 car lengths ahead of him. I was at about 148mph and decided this was getting just a little bit stupid.
Still, fun kill.
Still, fun kill.
The person who tuned my SRT, who is the SRT-4 "master" (Aaron@Realtune Performance), says he could drive my car to low 12's all day with slicks. I would guess my Stang is a mid 13 car (CAI/Tune, 4.10's, Steeda Panhard bar, fat tires). So yeah, it's faster. When my GF was driving my SRT (she can drive), and I was driving my Stang, she beat me pretty good, I think if the cars were switched it would have been even worse, as the Stang is easier to launch than the SRT, and I can launch the SRT better than her.
you have both an '03 GT with "too much" AND an '04 Mach with some mods........NOT FAIR. sexy cars though. i dig the sig. ever had the GT dyno'd ?? or to the track
I've not taken either of them to the dyno or a real track. I'll take 'em both to the local track as soon as it opens (maybe in May). They are both fun as hell to the drive, with the GT slightly more so due to the 4.10s. It'd be close, I think, but the Mach would probably beat my GT. I hope to race against my own car in the summer, though I will probably drive the GT since she takes a little getting used to....then again, dunno if I trust anybody to drive my new baby girl. Bleck.
