The only real advantage the EVO and STI's have is they're damn traction, they have like 100% traction all the time so every last hp gets to the pavement, with the stangs we have to baby the throttle and not let the clutch out to quick etc. All they do is launch the damn things at 5k and chirp and go. Its crazy, my best buddy has a STI with full exhaust and a stage 1 upgrade runs high 7's and low 8's all day long in the 1/8th. But if Mustangs had the same traction as a STI or EVO VIII, they would be absoblute killers.

ORIGINAL: Dalthius

you have both an '03 GT with "too much" AND an '04 Mach with some mods........NOT FAIR. sexy cars though. i dig the sig. ever had the GT dyno'd ?? or to the track
Lol, yeah, I spoil myself. The GT is for sale, though. I'm getting out of the military and need the cash as a bit of a buffer till I get whatever job I'm getting.

I've not taken either of them to the dyno or a real track. I'll take 'em both to the local track as soon as it opens (maybe in May). They are both fun as hell to the drive, with the GT slightly more so due to the 4.10s. It'd be close, I think, but the Mach would probably beat my GT. I hope to race against my own car in the summer, though I will probably drive the GT since she takes a little getting used to....then again, dunno if I trust anybody to drive my new baby girl. Bleck.
i will. ill be easy on her too, unless u tell me to stomp it, then, aint gotta me twice. lol. but, definitely nice cars. id like to see the race between 'em. probably a good race...at least close anyway.

What is BS? That my SRT is faster than my Mustang?? Or that I like driving my Mustang more?? They are both the truth, is that hard to believe for you??

Word brother. If it's domestic, and moderatly fast, I am all for it. Hell, one of my top 10 cars I would love to own is an 86 Grand National. And I HATE GM!!!!!!! GN's were really nice cars though.

The SRT is moody (all turbo cars are. It starts to get annoying checking for boost leaks every month as a routine maint. item), FWD, torque steer up the ying-yang, and even with the dump open, can't sound 1/2 as good as my Stang with Loudmouths.

The Stang is slower, but garners way more attention, sounds way better, is easier to drive well, pushes rather than pulls, can do donuts, and is just a nicer car that on any nice day immediatly gets 1st billing over the SRT. Enough said!
