As long as you don't screw up your launch a stock 99-04 gt will run extremely close w/ an s2000 in the quarter. I'd say that any impromptu highway rolls would go to the s2000 though because then the torque isn't really a factor anymore. Those things absolutely scream between 6k-9k rpms so if they start the race close to 5k or 6k the s2k would pull ahead and stay ahead.

Don't some of the S2000's come with a stock supercharger. Better make sure its not that one.

No, they don't. You have to call up comptech to get an SC for an S2k.

They run 14.0 bone stock, you better be pretty modded in a notch to be able to even keep up with it. I give the race to the s2k, depending on what your mods are.

I was with my dad a while back in his 78 trans am (400 bb, cam, heads , forged, bored .40 over, exhaust, other stuff) and we raced one from about 50 to im guessing 130. the speedo only goes to 120. we had him all the way. we expected to win of course but i guess it's pretty quick and definetly light. i doubt my caprice would've won because its heavy as hell.

I had a run in with one yesterday. I floored it when he did. I was slightly ahead when we floored it and stayed ahead til 100 when I shut down.

he had 30 day tags...

Cheers!
