If you have a GT with just exhaust, youre actually probably puttin about 220-225 to the wheels
Umm...no. Stock the car put 226 to the ground with 4000miles on the clock. Exhaust and more miles should put me about 240-245 range.

Well get it dynoed. The last stock LT1 I saw on a dyno was making 275/285. We havent had them down to the dyno lately so we arent sure after all the mods.

You need to do your homework. 99-04 mustangs come with 260 at the flywheel,up for debate if that is underrated, typical 99-04 mustangs put anywhere 223-228 to the ground through a manual tranny. the 96-98 4.6l had power issues, 190ish the ground if lucky. You can call my bluff all you want, and I can't prove it because I can't find my dyno sheet. But I am sure you look around you will find that my number is not impossible and not uncommon, plus I am sure other people will vouch for the power output of a 99-04 4.6l stang with a manual tranny. I recall a recent post about this very issue and went on for over 8 pages.

ok soooo the mustang they dynod made 225hp to the wheels. so ill raise my rating of what i think you have to the wheels to 130. unless you have headers (and good headers at that), catless x-pipe/h-pipe and a great rear section exhaust, your not going to make any more than 5-10hp. Just because you have a V8 doesnt mean your going to gain that much hp. the 99-04 GT's arent horribly restricted in the exhaust area to begin with (basing this on a 5.0 with aftermarket headers/intake/full exhaust makes anywhere from 35-40. You have a catted x pipe, and a "mid level" rear section exhaust, your not gaining that much at all. You "lost" your dyno sheet? i dunno about anybody else but i framed my dyno sheet, just cuz it cost me 50 bucks for that piece of paper. Post your dyno sheet afetr u get yer car dynod again, i bet you only make 230, 235 if your lucky.

Actually I found it today in the glove box of my car. I have to make a correction though, 223.9hp 26something tq to the wheels, could have swore it was 226, my bad. I will try and get it posted tomorrow.
You can't base a 4.6l OHC with 260fwhp on a 5.0 pushrod with maybe 220fwhp, they are two different animals.
Magnaflow catted x is good for about 10hp to the wheels. Couple that with thier catback and say that adds 5 (which I am sure it adds more), I am at 239 now, 10000 more miles on it, synthetic oil and an aftermarket filter, 245 is not that far fetched. Perhaps I will blow some of my gear money and dyno this weekend, I hope for 240 and above, anything under and I will be dissapointed, but I don't see that happening.
Umm and the 99-04GT are retricted in the exhaust area, the manifolds flow as much as a good pair of shorties, but the rear section is the culprit. I am not saying it is bad but a nice rear section like a Magnaflow or Bassani really helps.
Get some seat time in 99-04GT before you start telling me what my car has and what bolt-ons do for it. I am suprised no one has chimned i on this yet, i guess we 99-04GT owners are tired of telling people what we have and not being believed.
