It was a N/A cobalt and a celica GT
We can beat the N/A Cobalt SS? Cool.
Well since we can destroy the ls models I figere we could beat the reg SS. They compare em to the RSX

SS is just a trim package, which only is available to have the supercharger as an option. The Cobalt SS supercharged is definitely not a slow car, but a bone stock 99 up Mustang GT is faster than it. As for a Celica I don't know how fast it can be but I don't care b/c it does not have enough displacement potential (typical import ricer car).

Naturally aspirated, a V6 will rarely ever give as good performance as a V8. Think about it, all those skylines and supras could not beat a stock Mustang GT if it were naturally aspirated with equal drivers.

Maybe thats why they come with turbo's??? just because they are not n/a from the factory (excluding non tt supras) doesnt mean they are a crappy car because IF they were n/a they would not be as fast. fact is they are sweet cars. Im all for v8's but those are awesome cars....
btw they are inline 6's and not a v6.

hey thanks smarta$$. My name has nothing to do with my stang. Of course a stock skyline would murder a stang but not N/A. I'm just saying this b/c there are ppl who think 6 cylinders can dominate v8's. Of course someone with a v6 stang is going to get all defensive and try to be a smarta$$ to me, what was i THINKING to post this??

All the 6 bangers that are faster than v8's are in most cases b/c of a turbo or s/c.

Edit: ok 6 cylinder happy?

P.S. I never said they were crappy cars b/c they had 6 cylinders. I'm just saying if they're meant to be so fast why not use a bigger engine instead of an I6.

Has anyone turboed or SC'd a V6? My brother had a SC cougar and it would hang preety well with my 5.0 which was pretty stock. I beleive it was a roots style blower that came stock on it. He eventually killed it by missing a gear, over revving and breaking something inside.

Heh, yeah find me a 2000 ricer v6 in good condition for $6k
It's not a ricer V6, but I just got my new 'maro for $6k with 75k miles and it's in great shapes. Sounds good, and runs high 13s.

Otherwise, such vehicles as Acura Integras, Honda Preludes, Nissan 240s, aren't too difficult to find in that price range in good shape, and considerably faster than a V6 'stang.

Yeah I'm slowly discovering the 6 is faster than I thought. I'd say it's got possibley the best performance to dollar ratio you can find these days.
The 6 cyl in a skyline or supra????
I think the supra and skyline had inline 6 motors (which, IMO is the best way to go, at least for hp/CID)
