BTW, a stock Skyline would MURDER a Mustang GT.

Ricer Bob: OMG, they dont sell the skyline in america, it must be illegal cuz it has too much power! like 500 or something!
The advantage to the skyline (and the supra for that matter) is that the blocks can handle about whatever you can throw at them. So guys turbo the crap out of them with no problems and get insane hp numbers. Now, the skyline is faster than the 99 GT, but not by too much, and I dont think it would take a new GT (that is, stock for stock)
when I said skylines are slower than Mustang GT..i said if it was naturally aspirated..jeebus who knew my comments would stir up so much crap.
Also, those damn skylines run about 80 G's. I would NEVER pay that much for a 6 cylinder car.
Not to mention theres a bunch of crap u have to do to it before its street legal here.

A Skyline won't murder a Mustang GT. A Skyline GT-R, on the other hand, will rape it. They were rated at 276bhp, I think, but they put that down to all four wheels. Consistent mid-12 second cars bone-stock. Of course, they cost as much as a Vette would over there, so it is a Japanese sports car.

The $80,000 Skyline GT-R is the cost for a brand new car and the cost of importing it. I remember reading an article in a car mag way back. Can't remeber the name of the company. Check eBay and you will probably be able to find used Skylines for way less then that.

FWI: The only reason Nissan lists the HP of the Skyline GT-R as being 276 is because that's the max HP Japan allows. Some strange policy of their's. Not certain if they still do this anymore. Everyone who is familiar with the car knows it makes way more then that.

It cant be much more than that tho. I was watching a japanese drag show where the dragged an STI and a skyline. the skyline didnt win by much (it was a GT-R) the skylines arent much out of the box, but since everything is forged you can boost the crap out of them with no ill effects.
