When I got my V6 I did not plan on modding at all until I started looking around and got into it...but I'm glad to know the V6's have some great potential. My buddie has a 03 KB Cobra and (before he got the KB, of course) he got beat by a V6...so yeah, watch yourself, though V6's that fast are very rare.

 

i can see where you are coming from 100%, but its such a beat to dead topic its not worth arguing,,

basically, if there was no v6 (or 4cyl fox) we'd be looking at the Corvette 2.. i say that as in the prices would skyrocket.. and only old or priveledged people could by one(my cat just clwarled onto ,ma, sasio i caont type veyie good)

The V6 model makes Ford a good chunk money and helps keep the cost down on the GT. By offering lower cost models, manufacturers can offer more specialzed vehicles at a decent price.

I personally would never buy a car with a legendary muscle car name such as a camaro or mustang that had a v6. But it's true that they keep the cost down and look how popular the "muscle" v6 cars are with the ladies. Lots of women buy them because of the looks.

on question for you GT guys why didnt you get a cobra compared to that the GT is sh*t, so why bother?[&:]

 

hahaha mustang man , dont get offended by it. half of what they say is true, hell i probably wont buy another v6 mustang unless its for my gf or future kids or something, but its true that there would be no mustang GT today without the base mustang. you know if u had the chance to get a v8, you would. the only reason i have a v6 is because of my age. there arent many insurance companies that would quote me for low prices for a 19 yr old black male. bah, the gas mileage thing is crap though. when im 21+, i will most likely have the 99-04 GT or even if i can get a specialty model, i will upgrade, but for now im happy pushing my v6. i dont need "fast" right now, anyways, ill save that for after college

HAHAHA i was unaware that 14 second cars were fast.... hahaha, ford gave mustangs the slow image in the SN95s giving them minimal hp in the v8s, hell mustangs have never been FAST.... try taking a look at a 06' Z06 corvette and try telling me ANY mustang is fast, even a cobra.... not to disrespect the cobra (i love em) but you should know they will dominate you, and im sure u do... hahaha, just please dont try to tell me a 14 second car is fast, cuz it isnt

 

and yes, actually the first mustangs made (in 64.5) were I6s, so stfu
