Okay, I see what you're saying. I have not a clue of why this is. I'm planning on taking mine to the track sometime real soon. I'll post my numbers so you can see what an auto. GT can pull w/ my big *** driving it. I'm hoping for at least a low 14. As far as the early Cobra's go my only possible guess could be the gearing. Also look a couple threads down, there is an 04 GT 5spd. coupe that ran 13.9 @ 99 bone stock. ANd I doubt the car is even broken in yet.

yeah its wierd. Unless it is a 1000 ft track, but then the mph would be lower.

For some reason, homeboys 13.9 run just doesn't make sense. He's got a weird 60' time for his 99mph and still in the 13's?

My brother was in the other car, it's his car. His is a vert 5 spd and he's a decent driver, def. not the best though.

So the GT Conv.s are slower than the hard tops? I just got my '99 GT Conv. auto & although fast off the line w/ the left foot brake release take off, it does seem to loose some momentum in to second and third.

your GT is close to the 15 second range....it's got two negatives, at least in racing. It's auto and it's a vert which makes it heavier.
