Finally race my brother's GT. His is a 03 GT conv. 5spd w/ K&N drop-in. Went from 60 roll to 105-110, dead even the whole way. The only thing I did was turn off O/D so it was one less gear for it to downshift.

 

damn, nice race, i would have thought he would have taken you, if not by just a little bit.

 

His bro was a conv which I guessed leveled it out with the auto.

Raced froma stop today with my friend in the car. Went up to 70-75 his front was at my GT emblem the whole time no matter how he shifted. He was a little mad about getting beat by an auto but he will get over it.

 

the friend sounds like a pretty bad driver. getting owned by an auto with a passenger is sad. BUT STOCK 03'S RUN 13.9 STOCK!!!!....uh, not with crappy drivers!

 

My brother was in the other car, it's his car. His is a vert 5 spd and he's a decent driver, def. not the best though.

 

I still have yet to see one of these pre 03 Cobra slaying GT's. I wonder what they changed in the engines to speed them up so much in just two years. Any ideas? Its still a SOHC motor right?

nah WRX said 03 GT's run 13's I havent seen them pull that yet. I wonder what happened to make them as fast as early Cobra's, you know the DOHC Cobra?
