Default 4.6 gt

what do you guys think a 2000 gt with 4.10's, a chip, cat-back exhaust, and a off road h-pipe would do in the quarter or eigth on street tires?

a 14.1 with 4.10 gears? not a chance. you should run quite a bit better than that. id say maybe around 13.6.

Depends on the tire size and his experiance... I had a 3.90 gear, short shifter, 2.5" o/r exhaust, cai, and xcal2 tune and I only ran a 13.9 - really due to my inexperiance. It's likely with 4.10's and stock tires he'll spin his way into 3rd.. and it's likely he'll run a high 13... with a good run on street tires i'd just leave it at a high 13... if you get excellant traction.. i'd honestly say a 14.1-14.3 if not worse - again it depends more on track experiance then anything.

i was j/w about it b/c i ran one friday with this kinda of set up and he ran and 8.62 to my 8.89 ( i was on my street tires) at this little rinky dink track in buffalo valley tn and i've raced n/a 4.6 cobras and they can't beat me and a gt with only these mods beats me? i was just wondering what the average was with these mods and street tires.

I've got the exact mods you do, except I have no midpipe yet, and I went 14.0X's all day long. This is with a 2.0 and 1.9 60's (which apparently is pretty decent for a street tire). I also trapped right at 100 (which makes me think there's some time left on the track). I'll warn you, 4.10's made the ride almost scary on street tires. Spun a lot in first, spun granny shifting into second, REALLY sideways powershifting third, and spun a little into fourth. I'm shooting for 13.70's this weekend on a new set of DR's. Hopefully they'll pull my 60' times to around 1.8 or less.

Decent 1/8... if a 99+ Cobra lost to you with those mods sorry to tell you - but he wasn't a very good driver.. when I ran my 13.9 it was with a 9 flat 1/8.. so i wouldnt put it out of reach that, that night you might've ran a 13.7-13.9 - depending on how well the rest of the race went... of course weather could've had something to do with it. Also, track racing and street racing are TOTALLY differant worlds... remember that.

My 1/8th mile times were around 9.2 most of the day. I'd think that the driver of the car you ran had more mods than that, or superman behind the wheel to pull an 8.6 in the 1/8.

that's what i thought! i was thinking he probably had a small shot of nitrous.

just so you guys know this isn't my car it was someone that i raced at the track. i have a 91 lx with 3.73, mac long tubes, off road h=pipe, flowmaster cat back, fenderwell induction, b-303 cam, 1.7 ratio rollers, crank pulley, and water pump pulley. my car also only weighs in at 3100 lbs with a 1/4 tank of gas. my best 1/8 time last year was 8.543@81.55 on my e/t street radials which pulled an awesome 60ft 1.777 with the stock suspension besides eibach sportline springs. i was just wondering the average times for these mods on a 99 up gt.

well a stock mustang runs about a 14.4 average driver.. and those tires are gonna hold you back, you wont be able to make full use of the gears
