Spend some time reading through honda boards like HT or Hondaswap... To be honest I'm still REALLY confused on all the entire concept of swapping. But I do get the basics.
The point of swapping is to get more power in a lighter chassis.
A 94-01 GSR weighs 2700 lbs, a 92-95 Civic will weigh no more than 2500... So putting a (maybe 10 lb heavier) GSR engine into a car that's 200 lbs lighter while gaining that extra 45+ horses will stand to do more damage on the race track to other cars. This doesn't take into account the driving skill and other bolt ons/power adders that are on the GSR engine itself.
200 whp GSR powered 2300 lb hatches will run 12s easily.

I like the GSR body too. I just thought the swaps were meant for the 1700lb hatches. BTW dot the GSr engines cost a bit too

most Civics have a SOHC motor. B series(DOHC) weigh roughly the same. swapping in a DOHC in a Civic will add a very small amount of weight, but have more power and a lot more potential. the biggest weight differences are the various Honda chassis'.

I went to race that guy today but he never showed up. There were some nice imports there though. A turbo civic, an STI, SRT4, and a few others. The kid that want to race me so bad never showed up because apparently he heard my car was blown and didn't want to race.

IT is to bad too because I had my girl come with a video camera so I could get it all on tape. I meet a kid with an SRT4 that was tied with me stock, but after the blower I blew him out of the water. So he said his friend that pulls on him wants to race me. Thats how this all started. Every time I talk to them its a different story though, first it was a nitrous GSR, now its an all motor GSR built with high compression. I don't know and I don't care I just want to race.

they sure are. so far, you're one of the VERY few that've said anything about the Mugen M7s. I've loved the M7s ever since I saw them on a white G2 integra in super street many years ago. I had to have these. nice choice on your wheels. I was debating on what color I wanted, but had to have the full polish.
