Question...
At the track i went to on saturday there was a supercharged 94 GT Vert with i think a 75shot running low 12s and his best was 11.8 and he didnt have a roll cage, but my track is really laid back on saftey stuff, friend was running low 13s with no helmet and they didnt say anything.
i thought at NHRA track you needed a helmet if u ran under 14.0, i think you do because everyone else running in the 13s had a helmet on. And yea i kno its not good to be laid back on saftey stuff like that, but the track is always really nice
and again...
12.99 (1/4) or 8.49 (1/8) for a helmet, as is the same for a minimum of a 4 point cage in a convertible. But it depends on the track and who they are affiliated to. NHRA tracks are hard pressed as the IHRA tracks are more like outlaw tracks....or if it is an outlaw track...run whatchya brung.

I was under the impression that you need a helmet if you run 13.99 or quicker. I was even told so by a coupla techs. After I told them I was stock (back when I was), they said to make sure I don't hit 13's or I could get kicked out. Did the rules change?
My friend got booted from our local track for running low 13's in his vert with no roll bar.
