thanks guys
i take it that everyone keeps the throttle floored while shifting

No dont do that... i ruined my tranny doing that. I'm losing about .2-.3 per run now because of powershifting last year.

Just do it really really quick. Make sure you wind the car out pretty much all the way to redline. 5400 rpms or whatever.

Learn to launch. Don't bog, don't spin; you gots to find the perfect medium. I'm sure that somebody with experience on launching Mustangs will help you out. And to keep your tranny intact longer, just powershift 2nd-3rd. That's usually the longest shift and the easiest to miss. Personally, I powershift every gear, but I'm in an Fbody.

What?? If you're going to powershift one gear it should be 3rd to 4th. Go ask ranger probably the best driver in the GM camp.

You should beable to get your 60's down to about 2.20 (realistically since where you're starting at). Just practice like steele said you wanna find that happy medium... however you'll run faster times with more wheel spin than bogging.

I guess if you got those times mine aren't all too bad...but then again I have some mods that should be getting me in high 13's. I need some drag radials and I should be set (I hope)
I know I posted my timeslip from my first strip run just the other night on 2 other threads I made but here it is again:

First Run (ever)
R/T .535
60 2.171
330 6.133
1/8 9.334
mph 76.21
1000 12.082
1/4 14.373
mph 98.7

The rest of my runs were all worse than that one, I guess I just got lucky on the first one. Any input/advice?
