I get out of work and sitting at a stop light. I see HID's a few cars back. I hit the next stop light at the next block and i see this idiot E46 M3 owner cutting people off, swirving and driving like an a$$hole just to catch up to me. Well he does and gets right next to me and revs. So I turn off the A/C and get ready, light turns green, I launch a good second before him, put about 1.5-2 cars on him through first gear, hit second and put another 1.5-2 cars on him, when all of a sudden this stupid B*tch in a POS civic just turns out in front of me. I slam the brakes, and he does a ricer fly by and keeps going. He then gives me the hazzards like it was a fair race and i lost. I was so irritated, and tried catching the little punk to get a real shot, but he kept weaving in and out of cars and wouldnt ever slow down to go again. What a little b*tch. I really thought M3's were a lot faster, but i got on some of the Beemer sites and stock the E46's dyno at about 260-265 rwhp and 225 rwtq.

 

i think that we will have to chalk this one up to a bad driver...with a good driver, and traction, its a low 13 second car...

They ain't slow. If he had the SMG tranmission you would have a definite advantage because they are hard to launch. I think there is a way to unlock the launch control on the car. Once you get it set it pretty much launches the car perfectly every time. Anyone could do it. Unfortunately it's not easy to get to. BMW didn't make it a standard feature like in the European models because of insurance issues I believe. [:@]

 

Yeah, i thought it should have been faster or at least closer of a race. His car was SWEET though, i love M3's, i wish i could afford one. But, going by magazine numbers, the E46 supposedly runs a 13.6 in the 1/4. Last time at the track i also ran a 13.6 with no traction through 1st and half of 2nd (street tires, 2.2 60' time), so i think it would definately have been a drivers race if we got to go again. But then, by the looks of the first half **** race, he needed to work on his driver mod.

I've always liked M3's. From the E30 4 banger up to the current E46. They are great all around cars. BMW is one of the few manufacturers that builds drivers cars and I have to give them credit for that. Nice kill BTW.

 

i would try racing anyone in mine..but it was slow...

I know a ***** with an M3. He thinks it's the greatest car in the universe, and talks all this smack about my car compared to his. First off, he put a huge fart can on it. so it sounds like a$$. Second, he is always adding oil, it burns like 1 quart a day. Third he's a ***** and insulted my girlfriend on many occasions and insulted my mustang and my family's impala. He is just jealous. And he does the stupid sh** where he weaves in and out of people in an effort to get wherever faster, yet he only ends up moving an additional 2 ft ahead of the flow.
