I'm not much of a street racer, but I will go up till about 55 or so in a 45 on the main road. But for some reason, I havent had anyone trying to race me in the Stang in the last like 3 months. I go out riding around usually on Friday and Saturday and theres alot of cars out that are racing, but I dont ever see any play. For some reason when I'm in my Celica, I get a **** load of people trying to race. Within like 30 minutes 2 nights ago, my fiance was driving the Celica and an Eclipse GT was trying to race, an LS1 was trying to race, a CRX and a v6 Mustang. Its like WTF. Not that this thread makes much sense, I just figured I would post the slump I'm in with the Stang. I'm thinkin about just parking it until I have alot more mods.

 

I haven't had a race in probably the better part of a year, but a 99-04 Mustang GT did line up next to me on the highway recently; it was obvious he wanted to run. He apparently didn't notice that it was the morning rush and I had cars right in front of me. Oh well.

 

It seems like alot of people have good highway races. I live right next to an interstate, but rarely get on it these days. I used to travel down it everyday, but never had a race from a roll then either. Well except 1 against an Evo, that was being a dick, he's lucky I just took by b-b gun out of the car, because he mooned me and I was gonna shoot him in the azz.

 

Welcome to my world, I do the same, I'll race up to about 10 over the speed limit, but I've only had 3 "street races" in a year of owning the car. NO ONE wants to race me, what do I have to do? Start screaming obscenities at other people or something?

 

ive had this problem ever since i got the afr heads on my car. ill get bored and drive around for an hour, waiting and hoping to see another mustang/lt1/ls1/whatever....but the only cars i come across are fartcannoned 4s, or high school kids in whatever crappy car theyre driving. it relieves stress blatently killing them, but i really wouldnt mind a challenge once in awhile. i still have no idea how fast my car is compared to another mustang, and dammit, that pisses me off. waiting for the cam to get made now, but when i get that put in, im just going to sit in a parking lot and wait for my prey to come driving by.
