How slow are Del Sols? did i even spell it right?

 

yeah, Del Sol, or in my words: Del Slo. haha. i think like mid-high 15's probably with a sohc vtec. dohc vtec, probably LOW 15's, maybe HIGH 14's. idk. wait for 2KSi

Never seen one break a 16.0, even with mods.

 

Depends on what model.

D16z6 & other D series models are in the 16s, b16a3 models are in the mid 15s.

 

I have seen one hit mid 15, i was impressed[:-]

 

alright sounds like there pretty slow, theres this guy at my school at the end of the day and he always revs at me, and i wanted to kno how dumb he really is... and i see he is pretty dumb thanks

 

i have seen one run a 13.9x, but it had a prelude motor swap and a number of bolt-ons

 

I don't know, but I had a riced (YES.......big aluminum wing, bodykit, and fartcan) Sel Sol that was behind me one night when I was at a stopsign about to turn onto the highway by my house. And as i was turning left onto the highway, just getting into second gear, this obnoxious screaming sound comes around me from behind. The dude was overtaking me seconds after we turned onto the highway.......i could tell the poor guy had it floored just to nudge past me well enough to get in front.......and I was only in second gear. BTW, i was not gunning it......just accelerating normally. lol.

So in short, my experience says they are "pretty" slow. The question is always: "How much has the owner dumped into the engine and drivetrain?"

 

I blew the doors off one in my sixer. It was so bad he, to this day cant find an excuse and doesnt want a rematch.
