corvette bye bye!
yeah for 80k the LPE would do something to you that you would be emabarrassed about
9 seconds or better across that finish line is much faster, plus since a stock vette does run low 13s to 13 flat i don't think he should have lost THAT bad, yeah you might have put a couple cars on him but on the highway i think he would have caught up, sorry babe but mustangs aren't cut out for 150+.... i dunno if i believe it all but i'm not going to say ur lying... but if someone in a mustang were to come up to me list all of those mods you have and say yeah i beat a stock vette, i would be like dang you have a nice car but i would not be impressed with the race, a STOCK vette? come on! so what? ur modded out ur ***, no trophy there.

Like I said a thousand times before. A stock Corvette means the owner didn't do ****. All the engineering and new and better parts put on than from Vettes in years past are done at the factory, which in my book still consitutes hopping up a car. Stock doesn't mean that an older Corvette gave birth to a new one and that's the way it runs. Somebody engineered and built it, buddy.
Second of all in my last post I stated that BOTH cars were fast which means I even gave credit to the Vette. So who the hell are you yelling at?

The guy beat a 2004 stock vette. Thats not hard to believe. How many times have you raced you Mach 1? How many times do you think that guy raced his vette? I'm sure you were more experienced and a better driver. It doesn't surprise me that a procharged mach 1 beat a stock vette. Lets not beat up on this guy too bad, hey man, I believe you. I've been racing for a while, so I know what I'm doing, cause I raced a nitroused mach 1, when my vette was minor bolt ons, and I destroyed it. Now I went with forced induction just in case.......

Mysterious, what do you have for a car? Mods?

Sorry been busy and missed it...
My toy is a 79 Formula with a 455 in it, recently the stock rods let go. They held together after going 500 rpm past the limit almost every weekend for 7 years. I knew it would die, and I dont mind it lasting 7 years. I am building a new bullet to replace the mule motor I had in there.
72 455 +.030 balanced
Forged pistons
Comp cams custom Solid grind (240-246 @.050).
Comp 1.65 rollers
Ported '67 400 HO heads # 670 (240cfm @.600 lift)
Ferrera Stainless valves (2.11/1.77)
Comp #995 springs
Torker II intake
Holley 850 dblp Carb Shop modified to flow approx 970
Headman Headers
3" collectors and pipes
Cheapie Summit 3" mufflers (the $19 ones)
B&M 3000 holeshot
TH400
3.42 gears in a 12 bolt rear
Lightened considerably to about 3500 race ready
Street driven, plates/insurance/street tires/ mufflers
Best ET with 4.11 gears and max rpm before 1000 ft = 11.71 @ 115
Best ET with 3.42 shifter in drive and the trans short shifting by 1000 rpm 7.76 @ 91 (1/8)
The same Combo in a slightly heavier car with a working trans has run a best of 10.80 thru the mufflers.
The 3.42's were the better gear for it, kept it in the power range longer. It was picking up and going faster with the 3.42's the 60 ft was 1.6 on BFG DR's. It died racing my buddys Buick GN. New engine going together when I get back from Kuwait. if I go pump gas it will have 650+ hp, if race gas well over 750 hp. My $2700 engine died after a long time and alot of races, and it was mostly used parts out of old cars with a bit of massaging. So currently I have only my GTO running, it also has a 455 +.030 and has run a best of 13.50 @ 105 with 2.93 gears a stock converter and pulling 3900 lbs down the track. ( street tires mufflers)
No nitrous was used for any of these times...
This car can be duplicated for less than $6000 very easily.
Sorry forgot something. the crappy 1/8 time wasnt its best, it has run 7.51 before it developed some issues with the TH400 last year. I hadnt gotten it sorted out for this year when #7 rod let go.
hey i believe him too, i just wish we could have seen a longer race.... yeah, if someone told me he would kick the **** out of my car with his and went 3 miles out of his way to race and "babied" his car i would be like, dude, ur gay.... I don't baby my car, i drvie the hell out of it, but now i am paying for that lol... its old and has a lot of miles so i need some new stuff. its not used to being raced, it was an old persons car, prolly killed the clutch before i got it... old ppl around here cannot drive, but man when u see an old lady in a ferarri, watch out! because she can!
