I thought early 90s GTP didnt have S/Cs on them. One of my managers like when i was 14 had one, it was like a 92 or sumthin (the 92ish type body style) and I'm pretty sure it didnt have an S/C beacuse my brother had a Buick Regal with the same engine in it, the Series II 3800 V6.

The Grand Prix GT engine = 3.8 V6... which is the same engine that was put in the V6 Camaro and Firebird. I seriously doubt the Grand Prix GT with JUST a turbo setup would go from a mid-high 15 second car to a 12 second car. There had to have been something else in that.
Yea, I have to agree with you. I had a 98 GTX, the supercharged Ram Air version with some other minor mods and couldn't hit 13's. I highly doubt a turbo charger alone could get you in the 12's[sm=alcoholic.gif]

drops the blower for a turbo, strange.
not all gtp's have blowers
Actually all GTPs do have superchargers. Not all grand prixs have them but yes all GTP's were supercharged including the GTX's.

I dunno... I used to have an 01 mustang GT... totalled it and bought a GTP... all I have is about $500 dollars into her and I run 13.71 at 102mph with my mud and snow tires... All I have done is a smaller pulley, exhaust, computer and CAI... A turbo would make it crazy.

there is the turbo or one of them I should say... they have a cheaper version that can only support 11's and 12's

He said he had just left the track in Montgomery where he was running 12 flats. I find that kinda hard to believe because he had regular street tires on.
Yeah I don't buy that without a set of slicks with his WHP. Hell, I would feel pretty good about running a 12.0 on street tires with my car, and I make more power and weigh less.

Prolly just bs'n you.

BTW a 12.0 car that is FWD should just be destroying you from any RPM. Shoulda been more like 15+ lenghts not 7 if he was running what he said he was.

I believe a GTP, a newer one, from 97+ with a turbo can run 12's pretty easily. I've read in a Pontiac Performance magazine plenty of times about GTP's runnin 11's with turbos. And no, not all GTP's came with S/C's, I believe the 96 and older Grand Prix's came in GTP versions, did not have a S/C, my cousin had one, a 95 Grand Prix GTP without a S/C.

12 flat ain't happening in a front driver with street tires. Trust me on this one
