Default talon TSI kill

I was going down the road at 4:30 in the morning because I had nothing better to do, and a red eagle talon pulled up next to me at a red light (older gen) anyways he had a fart can that's all I know, but he had to have other stuff done because he was at least in the mid 14's... anyways he just sat there when I took off so I diddn't take off at full throttle but anyways he just sat in my rearview for like 4 minutes, and me never being the victim of a "flyby" that you guys talk about thought he diddn't want to race... but then he starts gaining like his car got angry at me so I punch it and he got 2 cars ahead of me, and me being creamed by a newer gen thought I was done... but then I passed him nice and slow... enough to smile and wave... anyway I guess that pissed him off so at the next light he starts to AWD launch it... I thought... you wanna play that?.. so I peel out to warm up the drags... light turns green and his launch diddn't even come out ahead of me, I found it suprising that I diddn't have to play catch up with an AWD car... anyways I know it's not that great of a kill but shutting down my first flyby and coming out ahead against a DSM launch... that made my night to say the least

what do you guys think? if my shift points weren't set he would have owned 2nd after the launch, but my pony dropkicked his little eagle in the face and I pulled him with an AUTO [sm=happybounce.gif]

Nice kill.
Just out of curiousity, does full 3" exhaust and fartcan mean the same thing to you guys?

I'm not sure what other people think but I went by the sound... it looked pretty big but it sounded like a weedwacker tearing up a hissing snake when we took off while the exhaust and the BOV were going together

yea I'm pretty sure it was AWD, unless they made a TSI eagle without AWD?
but before my 4:10's my T/B & Plenum and a full dyno tune I was pulling 14.06- 14.09 almost every time, so I should be well into the 13's by now... I hope... If this rain will ever stop I am going to the track to test my theory soon

TSI's can be AWD or FWD, but from your description (holding his revs up at the light) it sounds like he was AWD and let the clutch out too fast and bogged the launch. Usually the only way to tell from the outside is a sticker behind the door DOHC TURBO, then underneath ALL WHEEL DRIVE.
Again, good run, if he was mid-14's like you said he wasn't running stock boost levels.
