Default S2000...

I'm sure that this one has been beaten to death but a guy came through drive through today (I'm a highschool student and I work at McDonalds, yeah it sucks!) and he had a black convertible S2000, I asked him if he had ever raced anyone in it and he said that he raced a "suped" up new edge stang. He said that he wooped it's *** until I asked him by how much and he said, "well to tell you the truth he only beat me by a couple of lengths." lol dumbass. So how would a stock new edge 4.6 handle a S2000 in a drag?

Weight, or lack thereof, is definitely on the S2000's side. I agree with what these other guys said.

In a drag, I would lean towards the stang- the s2000 is not really known for its take-off ability (without a 7000-8000 clutch drop), but on the highway it might be a different story.

S2000 has 9K red line. So a 7K is possible. My mom has one and it's fun to drive but not much for take off. But is a lot of fun when you get above 150mph.

From a dig i'd have to say mustang if say an 1/8th mile race. I know another guy who actually took his S2000 to a drag strip and when he did high rev take off he snapped the rear end.

nono. i know the s2000 has a high redline, but what i'm saying why would you want to launch at 7k? that sounds more like an AWD launch.

Typically, yea that's an insane rev to launch at for rwd, but I've heard from some s2k guys that say that's the best way to get a good 60ft, since the powerband is all up top. They also go through clutches very quick, since they have to slip it at that rpm.
