has anyone ever went up against the new monte carlos? i just checked out the specs on a non s/c 04 monte carlo ss and it has the same engine size and puts out the same power as my v6 pretty much. anyone knwo what these things do in the 1/4?

all i could find was the supercharged one, but the numbers don't look right. 0-60 in 6.7 and 1/4 in 15.3

I have driven both the N/A 3.8 and the blown 3.8; my ex g/f had them. The N/A was slow and the S/C version was sufficiently peppy for a daily driver.

yea i asked because my gf has the ss non s/c version, and it feels just like driving my car. i mean it has pretty good acceleration but since its a ss i was thinkin itd be like...fast.

Sounds about right to me....20 less hp and 20 less torque than a new edge, heavier, and automatic too.....

My sister has an 02 monte carlo N/A and it fuggen sucks! It's a grandma car! They only come in automatics too! I do like the intimidator version though, it looks sick.

My friend who has the shop had a newer mote carlo SS. Somehow I destroyed him, I then asked isnt that supercharged. I learned then the non s/c SS models arent that quick

yeah i want to race my gfs car now just to see how id do, i was believed they were pretty quick into the 14's but i googled it and saw the non sc version runs mid 16's. wtf?

The non S/C SS' are slow as *****. I used to beat them in my Oldsmobile Alero. Hahahahaha.

So we're not talking about the new Monte Carlos SS's with the 303hp 5.3? Anyone driven one of those yet?
