My neighbor just bought an 03 limited edition VW GTI 1.8T.. bright yellow(thats good for 10 hp lol). So i was like nice car you wanna go run them?? so we did. it was really ugly. i am still getting use to my new rubber so i launched around 3k.. wow I didnt even cherp a tire!!!! by the end of first i had 2 car lenghts on him by the end of the 1/4 you could have parked a semi and maybe another couple of cars hahaha!!!!!
ohh yeah my spec stage II clutch is about to go it really stunk after that run... ohh well time for stage III

I Agree, Dude a GTI is no match for a Mustang. You need to pick on somebody your own size (Evo 8's , WRX Sti , Camaro's, Firebirds you get the point)

 

no my car doesnt really have a lot done. where i live there is no emitions so i dont have any cats . so other than flows and an intake & mass air flow.. thats it

 

All of those cars are faster stock for stock than a 2v GT stang.

 

on street tires i ran a 14.1 @ 98.3mph with a 2.2 60'.
yeah i know.. only prob is i need some more mods. most of the STI's around here are all running like mid low 13's... once i get some gears then I will go STI hunting

 

I know for a fact that the four cars I've mentioned are a 13.5 in a quarter mile (with an excellent driver) . I'm not sure what a 99GT does in a quarter mile? But I would think it would be close.
