sport shift, go from 1-2-OD off D, there is a rev limiter at 5800 rpms so go about 500 rpms before that, but in second gear you can hit aboot 86 mph b4 the limiter hits, so you might want to try and keep it in second in order to prevent it from shifting

ill say between 15.8 and 16.1

Oi! I'm back homies, yeah. And although I didn't really do too well, I could care less. I had a blast, haha. Anywho, heres the only time slip I have, the track lost the other one:

R/T .173 .053
60 2.725 2.559
330 7.377 7.304
1/8 11.150 11.156
MPH 66.69 64.60
1K 14.292 14.389
1/4 16.921 17.093
MPH 85.35 83.07

I'm on the right BTW. I cut a BITCHIN' R/T time for a beginner, lol. But I spun like crazy, all the way through first, and I still kept with this guy. Good thing he was asleep at the light, I had him until right before the 1/8th, then he started pulling on me. Hole shotted his a*s though. Was a 2000-01 Civic hatch with some work done to it, you could tell.

That was my test &tune run(got there a little late, haha. Only got one in). On my actual run, I red lighted. Although, my launch involved NOT spinning my tire and I could tell that run was much faster. I'm very happy with myself despite teh redlight and 17 second quarter. I know the car is faster than that, I'm whats holding it back. A least I've got the launches down[8D]

Clif,

If you lower you PSI in your tires, and stage you will hit under a 15. Manual Shift your car, take it to 100 rpms before Rev Limiter, and you will hit a 14 something. Trust me. Let me know when you run. I want to know your time. Don't worry about what all these other morons are saying, i've been dragging for sometime. You are there to have fun. Don't worry about what the guy in the next lane is doing. Don't go through the waterbox, back into it, and just spin your tires, then do a dry hop and you will be set. When the third light hits hit your gas and make me proud!!!!!

Airborne all the way!!!!!

Bragg

Why the **** would he back into the water box with street tires on? So he can throw water that is between the tread all the way down the track? Do a search on racers etiquette and you might learn a few things... Thanks to people like you, tracks do no prep work on streetnights anymore... Too many morons pulling water up to the start line from the water box... The only time you ever back into the water box is if you have a full slick.... Also, it's a proven point that dry hops are bad for traction, you are wasting hot rubber, check your facts before you try to give advice... And, while we are at it letting air out of your rear tires causes them to cup, it makes the middle bend inwards towards the rim, Drag radials and slicks have softer less ply sidewalls so they benefit from low air pressure... Good luck either way, but definetly dont listen to this ****tard....

Thanks! I damn near had the best R/T of the street legals all night. I'm going to another club meet on Friday, I hope to see major improvement.

And it is a rush, lol. Nothing like doing the standing quarter, no matter how fast you are running.[8D]

I'm just glad I got to go, haha. Gonna get a flash tuner next week too, THEN we'll see whats up, haha. Too bad I didnt get my CAI until I was already at the track. I was going to install it there, but it didn't show up in time. Next Friday baby, I'm thinking low-low 16s, high 15s
