Default First time at the quarter

Hey guys, tomorrow is gonna be my first time at the drag strip in my mustang. Just want to know what a good ET for my car would be, and
on the streets when I race somebody from a dig, I have TC and O/D OFF, put the left foot on the brake hard, and rev it up to the point where I can tell teh wheel(singular, haha) is just about to break loose, then just let off the brake, get traction, and then floor it. The breaking point is right under 1500 RPMs on the street, so is it safe to say I will be able to launch around 2,000 RPMs on the strip? Thanks guys.

My car: 2004, 3.9L V6 auto, custom true dual exhaust with Flowmaster Delta 40 mufflers, MAC Straight Shot CAI.

You are looking at no better than 15.0. I would just flash the converter and not stall it up. If you power brake all you will do is spin more.

Power brake until you don't spin the wheels, then mash the accelerater pedal. DON'T just sit there at the light and then hit the gas, you will not be in the power curve fast enough to run a decent time. Drop your tire pressure down to about 20-22 lbs, depending on the temp, if it is hot then leave it at about 19lbs. Do a test run first pass and get a feel for the track and check your tire pressure out. If you spin on your first pass then let more air out (about 1-2 lbs at a time). Have fun and don't worry about the car in the other lane. Have fun, and becareful.

do not take street tires below 25psi or you'll be asking for it....street tires use a different compound, and sidewalls tend to be on the stiffer side...try at 1500-2k..then see what's up.

Hope that was not your 12.4 run because your car took like 25 seconds just to hit 85mph!!!!!!!!!!

Thats more like it, haha. I meant to say what a good 60' time would be for my car, not ET, lol. Thanks for the advice guys. i dont plan on adjusting the PSI at all, but I'm running on a half tank with everything that can be taken out of the car taken out. AKA the spare and all my junk, haha.[8D]
