Motorcycle shifting
hey i just went to my local dragstrip for the first time.there wer alot of pro racing bikes there, and i have no idea how they shifted. when they race they let thier feet just hang back so there is no way they can shift like that. does anyone here know how they shift, maybe where the normal clutch would go? thanks

RE: Motorcycle shifting
there are some bad bikes at VMP where I race, low 8's at 165+ mph.
the clutch is in the normal place on the left handlebar, but they only use it once to leave the line with, after that the planetary transmission is air shifted by a button like Silver said.
those kinds of time and speeds on two wheels is just insane! never get me on one, that's for sure.
