actually the stage 2 have no engine perforamce upgrades only upgrades to the suspension
Stage three is when the blower comes into play. I think Roush's are WAY too overrated.
I raced an 05 and I jumped on him bad but he started to pull me in when I let off. I have ZERO doubt is was because it was an idiot with just an exhaust cutouts. My wife still thinks I'm exaggerating about the potential of the 05-06's since she was with me when I beat one. The guy was even the one to give the rev and signal so I thought I was gonna get stomped[8D]

Yea, I realize that it's just suspension work. But technically, it could improve performance....I guess.[8D]

it will take off from the line a little better with stiffer suspension in back combined with better tires/wider wheels

I've always felt intimidated by the 3V GT's when I see them on the road b/c I know they are faster than me. I'm not a fan of street racing so I avoid starting races, but if someone signals that they want to race me and starts it, I won't back down. So far, I haven't come across an 05+ GT that wanted to race me. I hope that with my mods I wont get beat too bad :P

you shouldn lose by more than a car length or so to a stock 3v, esp with your gears

i'm sometimes like that. unless they're blown or have major boltons, i generally don't worry about them. i hope i run into a blown one. i know i'd get raped, but it'd be fun. my stepdad is maybe getting a KB in his 06GT soon.

Yes is it possible.

I went to the track several months ago and a guy in 1 01-03 GT challnged me for fun to rave. I asked what he had done and he told meintake and gears only. I quickly discovered he was lying since I expected to beat him by about .5 second because I had raced someone with those mods before. What he didn't know is that I am no virgin when it comes to cars and performance parts. I know what shorty headers with no cats and big mufflers sound like. Not only that, but as we were about to go up to the burnout box I watched him unbuckle his seat belt, fold down the rear seat, and reach into the trunk (HE"S ON THE JUICE!!!). At that second, I knew that if this guy could drive, he'd be able to beat me. He then puts on a helmet, which is only required on car running quicker than 13.00 and sure enough, he runs a 12.91 to my 13.46.

Bottom line, it you've got the mods, you can beat anybody, it's just a matter of what you can get the other person to think you have.

On that note, I don't race for money unless I get to look over the other person's car. I'm allway the first person to pop my hood for other people.
