Default 2v - 3v

A) Outta curiosity , has n e one ever seen a 99-04 take down an 05+ or is the power difference to great?

B) Would you consider the new stang to be in a different class besides the older stang?

A) stock vs stock? it could happen yes. if the 05 guy doesn't know how to drive at all and the pre-05 is an expert.

B) nope. they're just getting better and faster with each year. look at the 98 to 99 jump. 40HP. the 04 to 05 was another 40HP.

look at everyone's signature man... im confused by your question really... there are TONS of people on here that put down 280 to the wheels + 4.10's + DR's which is MORE than enoug to lay waste to a stock 3v 05+ GT

the same holds true for non-PI's, im sure there are thousands of them that make 300+ hp,
and i wouldnt even begin to guess how many foxes with modded 5.0's there are, so i'll just say alot [&:]

(of course, my entire response is kind of void if you meant stock vs stock)

heres the deal. 3v's are faster than 2v's. they have 40 more hp and respond a little better to mods.

BUT THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THE 2V. they can be modded and built just like any other motor, and do have a bit of potential. there are quite a few 2v's on this site that could easily take a 3v.

not hard to make a 2v faster than a stock 3v.

I killed an 06 stage 1 roush 3 times in a row from about 50 to 100, had him by about 3 cars and was still pulling slowly.

You gutted an 06 GT with a bodykit. Stage 1 Roushes are just apearance packages. Just saying that cuz alot of ppl seem to think the Roush name means better performance.....but only if its a Stage 2 or 3.

The only car I've raced so far was a stick shift '99-'04 GT.

I got a car length on him off the line and when I looked in my side mirror after going into 2nd, I saw I was pulling on him. He speed shifted into 2nd and dumped his clutch (his tires spun). I kept pulling on him and by the time I got to 80 in 3rd, he was way back and had given up.

My GT is stock. I don't know if he had any mods, but probably not or minimal.
