Worst was against a kid I became friends with but at this point I barely knew him. He has a 94-95 LT1. Yes an LT1. Supposively he only had a cam and nitrous. I have my Mustang with the turbo kit. I figured I was done for from a dig (he had M/T drag radials to my stock $100 POS tires). So we went from a 45 roll. Honked three times and launched. He got about an instant car and a half and I figured he would until the boost kicked in but NO. He just kept pulling. We went again and this time he whooped me even worse. It wasn't even a race. It was a raping.


He came up to me afterwards and said, "Hey, don't feel bad. I have a lot bigger of a shot of nitrous then everyone thinks." I talked to the kid that planned out the race for us and he told me that the kid only had a 150 shot on there so I'm thinking 200+ shot.

 

I got beat by a lighting the first week i had my car. Just for FYI i've never owned a V8 or a rear wheel drive so i needed alot of getting used to. He did one of those i'm not telling you i'm going take off and then did. I caught back up to him though and talked and he had a good amount of stuff done to his like pulley, intake, exhaust, and a tune.

 

TIE: random '03 Cobra at a light and my buddy's LS1 Trans Am, also from a dig. Never talked to the Cobra guy but my friend has 3.42 gears, 3400 stall, and full exhaust and has run 12.4 on ET Streets. He was on street tires when we raced, but he still launched well enough to make my pee-pee shrink.

 

I once ran against Bob Glidden and lost by half a track. Does anyone want to hear that story?

Mine was a C5 Vette Z06 with an exhaust. I was stopped at a light and he pulled up next to me. I did the whole not looking at him thing, cuz I didnt feel like getting killed. Well, I thought the light was goin to turn so I left of the brake, sure enough I rolled enough for him to think I wanted to race. Sure enough he hammered it and was gone. I didnt even try to race and it still felt like the worst kill I could have imagined.

 

Lost to a auto 97 Z28 by a car length...I ran a auto Camaro 305 RS once and pulled on him BAD until I missed 3rd gear.

 

c5 z06 running 10psi with a procharger, on top of a built engine and full off road exhaust.

edit: does racing a modded zx-10R count? i mean, he did wheelie past me at 120 after giving me a couple second head start...

 

I got murdered by an 06 SRT-10 Yellow Viper [8D] He was like "Oh come on, it's all about the driver!" I said sure why not, just to hear the Viper at WOT..and it was beautiful!
