Stock V-6s wern't fast either with a 9.3 0-60. They just a styling and suspension package. But I wouldn't mind taking one and droppin a 383 in there with a little laugin gas.

Nope, you were right to begin with. I did some research just a minute ago and they came with a 4.3 or 2.2L. I couldnt find times for the 4.3, but the 2.2 is said to do 0 to 60 in 12.3 seconds, now that is f*cking slow as *****. I tried to find info on the s-10 SS, but I couldnt find any, do you know where I could find some info? Thanks.

All I know is that a kid at my tech center was all gung ho about his new Extreme until I put a bus length on it from 30 to 70mph. 4 cylinders of aggravating lack of acceleration, and in all honesty my car is a pure dog from a roll. They may have come with V6s as well, but this one had an IL4. I saw it with my own eyes. It could have been a regular single cab S10 badged as an Extreme too. It had the frilly purple paint and ugly micro truck body kit.

Did the Extremes come with 4 bangers? I could have sworn the Extremes only came with 4.3's and autos. I know most s-10's are 4 bangers and have a 5spd, but I didnt think the Extreme did. The s-10 SS' are pretty quick from my experience with them, I think they're alittle faster than the Extremes.

You have to remember though, some of the Extremes only had IL4s in them.
While we're onm the topic, what would a stock mid '90s S10 SS w/ the 4.3 V6 run? I saw one for the first time today, and had to wonder to myself....

Nice kill on the Extreme. Those are some peppy 4.3L v6's. I know of a few with bolt ons and a chip, and they run in the 13's. Would be a nice project, but they only come in autos.

I never knew there was a H.O. 4.3 only thing I can remember is the same old 190hp 4.3 but I could swear they were available with a stick
