mustangs top end
Stock for stock the majority of the new cars are faster than the older ones. There are ofcourse a few older cars that are faster than some of the newer ones, but for the most part, Newer=faster. So you know the 1966 mustang GT was quite a bit slower than an 01 mustang GT. 1966 Mustang GT only had 200hp base, 225hp Challenger model, or the 271hp Challenger High-performance V-8. The 271hp GT was 0-60 in 7.6 seconds and 15.9 in the 1/4 mile.

He has a 6 cylinder. A newer V6 could beat a stock 1966 V8. A newer V8 vs a 1966 6 cylinder? It would be like me vs Tito Ortiz.

I call BS, or he was playing games with you. Hopefull the latter of the two.
Hey Slick, I cant believe you brought this here from the classics section. I wasn't serious when I suggested that.
But you got basically what I thought you would here! You are making the rest of us classics look bad. "Dont underestimate a classic"? Im happy if my warm 289 keeps up with any reasonable modern car, let alone a supercharged v8! Your six would be lucky to get out of its own way! lol
