Some of you classic guys need to get over yourselves. Yes I like classics, in fact if anyone were to look in my photo album they would see that I have owned a few classic cars. As far as a classic making more power for less, I would dis-agree. I have nearly 400 RWHP in my SS with about $3000 worth of mods, the car runs 11's and can still be drivin cross country. Oh yea thats with no power adder, there is also a 100 shot on the car that has not been used yet. Classics, newer cars, what ever turns you on, but nobody is better than the other simply because of what generation car they happen to own.

i like the Camaro dude!! I agree with with you totally. I just had to defend, because SOME people think that classics aren't as good.

I think people (v6 guys, classic guys, etc.) should stop pretending that my car and every other non-base model mustang owes it's existence to them. talk about trying to take credit where none is due. just stop pretending your car is the stepping-stone for every other mustang to exist and all will be well.
Wrong Your GT got my V6's styling cues, because 6ers are cheaper to produce, so you have a V8 in a V6 body...

that was a terrible argument huh

Wow! You're certainly on the ball aren't you?
And BTW get it right. The 66 had an inline 6 not a V6. It just ***** me when people can't get it right! NOT ALL 6 CYLINDER MOTORS ARE "V" CONFIGURATION!
sorry i dont spend much time researching about that stuff. i should committ suicide now since i didn't get a post right BFD.

A lot of times people do disregard classics as slow.....I think it depends. When I roll up and people hear the roar of my cam at idle they give me a thumbs up most of the time, other times they just roll they're window up haha. But yea, top end classics are weak but from a dig Ive killed many 05 GT's and 5.0's.

If you really want to get technical about it. You need to thank GM for introducing the Corvette. Before the Corvette, the only fast cars we had were little Euro trash jobbies. After 1953, all of the sudden there was a demand for American Muscle. Along came the Mustang, then the Camaro and Firebird, and the rest of the factory hot rods of the day.
