im sitting in the mcdonalds parking lot eating my food when i see a silver e55 stop at the light, me being the troblemake that i am, i pull out the lot and pull next to the guy and tell him to roll his window down, i ask "do u run that thing?" he say not really, so i ask, "do u wanna run that thing" he dosent respond, he just rolls his window up and puts his car in reverse, "???????????????" is this guy serious. the light turns green, so i take off, not too fast, just enough to see if he is racing, he takes off, i give full throttle now, i already have like a 3 car lead, then out of nowhere i hear some crazy ROARRR!!!!! this guy flys right next to me as if i were standing still, then waves to me and takes off. i had to be doing about 80mph while he did all of this. Kinda killed my ego

Don't the AMG e55's have the same powerplant as the AMG S55? If they do you raced against a 500hp monster (if its the newer ones). And I'm pretty sure the E series is a smaller body than the S series and I've heard of the AMG s55 going mid to high 12's . So you can imagine how well an AMG E series 55 should do.. The newer E55's Run 12.2's and thats with the traction control on[:-].... I have seen one at the track run an 11.6 with nothing more than Nitto 555R DR's...Their trap speed isn't all that high but AMG worked miracles with that cars traction control...

The fastest I've seen an auto C6 run is 12.6 on street tires and trap 116mph (at Infineon).With DR's on a C6 12.2's in the 1/4 have occured as well. I did look up the E55 and they have a posting of it running 12.2 but with the same trap speed . Also I'm not sure if DR's played a role in that number since the car weighs 4000 lbs and produces 469hp with 516lbs of TQ. If were both on street tires it will be close in the quarter but after that we would find out who chickens out first going up to 186mph!!!

I raced the slowest car in the newer amg line up and i barley won...those mercedes are crazy fast.

 

E55=515hp? 550 mile/tons of torque. You wasn't going to win that one. People sleep on Benzs and bimmers but those thing are hwy destroyers. Don't even try to run one through the mountains either.
