Eclipse...
Had a run in with a 2006 or 07 Eclipse today.
This cracked me up, so I'll give you the story, but the story leads to a question...so bear with me.
The story:
Guy pulls up next to me and starte to rev looks over...gives me the eye. I'm thinking..."Tempting"....BUT
My friend is a local cop in the area. And I know for a fact that he is sitting about 500 yards up the road with his radar. I know this because I had just left the restraunt after enjoying breakfast with him. He informed me not to speed at the parkway bridge, because he'd be there. Hehehehehe...
So I glane over and do that thing that Tom Cruise does so well...lower my sunglasses with my finger while revving my engine...So...
Green light! He takes off...me? I just sorta roll off the line and pull out my cell phone to call my buddy. "Hey man, white 06 eclipse GT comin' at you at about 80 mph. Sure enough I see the lights...and my buddy pulls out to pull the dude over.
Fortunately for THAT guy, I talked my friend into not ticketing him because I had egged him on at the light, so he got away with a warning...and perhaps learned a lesson about street racing in a residential area. Though I shouldn't act high and mighty if I goaded him like that.
Anyhow!!
My question is this...
With the 2006 Eclipse GT putting out 263 hp and 263 torque (I assume this is flywheel hp too) how well does a v6 Stang hold up? Our torque is pretty close, so with your standard CAI, tune, good tires and maybe a t-lock do we even it out? I'm curious because it seems like the Eclipse GT is the best competitor to the V6 Stang in terms of stock performance. Granted I am a novice in matters such as this.

IF it's a V6 (GT) You'd be seeing his tailights unless he doesn't know how to drive...

I can take em
Already taken a couple gt's at the track. Remember, FWD cars are hard as hell to get the launch down right. The 2 i beat were running 15.0 and 15.4. They both trapped higher MPH though (like 95 and 97 i think) my highest is 93.6.
