Thanks for that wonderfull video, I actually knew that an srt-4 doesn't have **** on a mustang gt. Check out forum i posted earlier https://mustangforums.com/m_1601017/tm.htm (srt-4 vs 00gt) and you read about another dumbass ricer that thinks he knows everything. The only "fast" srt-4s are the way overboosted ones which probably last for about 10k miles. A stock srt-4 is not fast by eny means, the fastest a copletely stock one would un would be a 14.3-14.5 quarter. The fastest an s2000 would run, after launching almost at the redline, is a 14.1. The 99-04 GTs will run a 13.7 with good tires, STOCK. No matter how you put it, how offended you get, what kinds of videos you find, which so far don't mean ****, a stock 99^ will beat an s2000. When the mustang has mods, it will simply be murder. Thats all there is to it. And why dont you let 2000si defend himself.

 

R&T took their latest S2K(stock) to 13.9@101mph. They are very capable cars, but only 10% of the owners are good enough drivers to get there...

 

thats the 2.2l s2000, the car in question is the 2.0l version

 

and yes they are very capable, they are just not capable enough to beat a mustang gt

 

This isn't the place for this argument but they are exactly as quick as eachother. I've raced both.

This guy went 13.98 @ 101 in an 01 or 02. This is before he put on his gears and I/E(which really don't do anything for the S2K anyway). Now with his gears he is running 13.6@ 103.5.

Either way, stock for stock it's a drivers race w/ the odds in the Mustang GT's favor. I beat GT's and they beat me when I had my S.

 

1st. Streetfire, I'm not going to go do the leg work for you. So go search for it.

2nd. Common sense is your friend at least. Keeping dead even is not winning for either car.

3rd. Yay for you, you've raced an S2000... want a cookie? Or how about some driving lessons? If you can't run with cars that put down the same kind of 1/4 mile times, you really need them.

You may know more about H22s and Preludes than I do, because I could care less about them.

There is plenty of arguement here, mainly it's just on you to prove me wrong. Which your bad driving experiences don't do for an all around case. With his mods the S2000 will not win. Period. How many times do I have to say that? BUT stock for stock is a drivers race down to the launch up to the end. Period.

You got rid of your fully built Prelude that broke all the time? Hum... that's odd, because nothing on my car breaks, at all. Ever. I guess the 3 years I've had the car with no repair costs isn't a testament to it's reliability.

What were you doing? 5000 rpm drops at the track and you couldn't figure out why you were breaking parts that weren't designed for that kind of punishment?

Give me a break. I should give up my car for what? A Mustang V6? Comparable cost? perhaps. Comparable insurance? I don't think so. Comparable gas mileage? I don't think so. Comparable handling characteristics? I definitely don't think so.

i havnt read this thread in awhile, but 2000si just owned someone hardcore, and im eagrly awaiting his response.

 

First off, I would just like to make it very clear im not getting offended the least bit, you dont make any sense half the time. second, i didnt search for that video, it was just on my hard drive. You know clearly know nothing of the srt-4, they are pretty damn quick out the box.. fastest stock fwd car off the lot actually. & they give stock 99-04 GTs hell, do a small search here on em & you will see for yourself of stories. Fastest I personally seen a stock 2001 S2K run has been 13.87 @ VMP. so with good tires & good drive you seen a GT run 13.78.. you know what.. that sounds like a drives race to me pal.. so wheres this how it aint got **** on the GT & would get beat badly come in at?.1 tenth is the difference in the cars we've seen. & 2000SI can defend himself.. I just felt like busting your *****, cuz I cant find anything else better to do on the internet lol

 

I don't know the specs, nor do I car to look them up. If I gave one rats *** about handling, I'd buy a go kart and put a small block in it, but I don't care. It's kinda like the NSX.....runs 13's stock and can turn, woo hoo. All that for $100k.

Honda makes one HELL of an economy car, they should stick to that.

Im not trying to talk **** to you or anything.. but your way off on your prices.. yeah the NSX is a pricy car but its not 100K.. the last year NSX 2005 sells for 60-70k.. thats 30-40k diffence in what you said. Still pricy but you know the ol saying.. you get what you pay for.
