So Friday night I went and hung out with a bunch of F-body guys from LS1tech.com. Real cool guys food, cruising, and a little late night desert racing. Line up with an LT1 that had a little work done, exhaust, intake. Take off and I had him at my door for about 4-5 seconds. Top of second he started to pull and hit third and pulled a car on me to 90. Fun race. All of the F-body guys were surprised I hung with him like I did. Especially my car being a 3800lb fat girl, not to mention my 225lb butt, and extra full size spare tire. Either way they hang out every Friday night and I think I am going to make it a weekly thing for me as well. Car lovers are car lovers regardless of Make or Model!!!

sounds like a fun time.........your 3rd gear doesnt pull ??? my 2nd and 3rd gears pull in my car with stock 3.08's. 2nd and third is where i win or lose a race...usually win tho

 

Don't feel bad man. LT1s are strong cars and are not to be taken so lightly. Hope you had fun.

Did have fun. My third does pull.... just not as well as and F-body's.[:'(] I have the stocker gears so the rear gears I believe are 2.73's. Ahhh to have 4.10's. I just have to get my 4th gear back and I can keep running above 95.

 

Of course they ragged on me for owning a Ford. They couldn't say too much though cause there was an '03 Cobra out there putting 420 to the wheels. I also wore my BUILT FORD TOUGH shirt underneath as a joke.
