Default Camaro SS Kill

Ok guys of MF heres a kill for ya. So i just got my tuner on wednesday to add to my set up. Without the tune i was running 290 RWHP i havent got it dyno'd since so i dont know the current. Anyways going down Woodlands Pkwy here in the woodlands testing out the new tune since i havent got to drive it in awhile. Driving along and i see some headlights comin up fast so i keep on truckin. A camaro SS slows down beside me and the dude drivin gives me a whats up nod. So i acknowledge with a return nod and we stop at a stop sign we start chatting he compliments my car saying "Your car sounds badass man" and i return with so does yours. I asked him what he had done, he says i have cams, a lid, and exhaust. It wasnt an extreme cam cause it wasnt running that rough. Anyways he say hey man lets run these things and see what we got so, we launch from the stop sign after three honks. I have him off the line and stay about a half a car ahead the whole time. We get up to the next stop sign and he say holy SH$% bro that is a fast stang!! So then we go from a 40 roll three honk and we are off he got the jump cause he did the honkin so he was about 4 feet ahead and i filled the gap and started pulling on him by the time we shut down i had about a complete car on him. We get to the next stop sign and he gives the thumbs up and says thanks for the competition bought time i run across a fast new body stang.

PS: Almost forgot it was a 2001 SS Camaro LS1 Brothers!!!

sounds like he had a really mild cam...or he was just trash talking (i mean, technically speakin...it has a cam stock..[8D])

what i dont understand is why the hell you would go through the trouble of a cam if you weren't going to put in something hardly streetable and tune for it...if ur gonna do it, do it right

That was my thinking.....

But even the "Old Man' cam cars make 370rwhp+ in 6 speeds and most bolt-ons. And yes, they're called Old Man cams.

No flame here but the SS camaros still dyno around 311+ hp. It still should have been his race in theory. Nice kill but it was his race to lose.
