Cruisin around the neighborhood I saw my friend pull up in his yard. So I go over to hang out and he told me he'd run me. I can't remember the year but it had a stock 24-valve 6-cylinder in it 3.? liter. He wanted to race on a dirt road, no houses on the road, no traffic. Plus it's about to be paved so it just got widened and packed down. We go from a 20 roll up to 85. At first we were close, both just spinning but when the spinning stopped I pulled about 2 or 3 lengths on him by 85. I was surprised because I ran an older maxima once and got beat with my other caprice, must have been a sleeper. Does anyone know how maxima's respond to mods? He's thinking about putting some money in it. We made an agreement if one of us sees the other driving a car with a fartcan the one who sees it gets to kick the other in the nads.

 

Hell,if he doesn't mind going 85 mph down a dirt road with it he probably won't mind putting a 3 stage 600 shot of n20 on it!!!!

 

Hell yeah wtf i would never even really drive my car on a dirt road let alone race on one.

good point. but the Max's are fairly quick. its a 3.5L V6. 265hp. theyre quick cars. how do i know ?? i work on them everyday. id rather have the Altima 3.5 tho. especially an SE-R

i raced one before it was an old guy i didn't even think was going to go. I wasn't making any rev noises and the light turns green and bam he takes off. I caught up in 1st gear and flew past him.

 

Oh cool you work on Nissans. What do you think of the Versa? I was considering replacing the Cobra with one. I've always liked Maximas. My mom owned one and it was very quite and smooth. Was a little bummed when they dropped the four door sports car designation back in the early 90's. I do give Nissan credit for offering a stick in the Altima and Maxima back when Honda didn't offer a stick in the V6 Accord sedan and V6 Camry's with stick were few and far between.

Hey Grn what do youy think of the 2007 Altima. They look really nice and have a lot of cool features.

 

My Maxima kicks ***. It was an awesome high school car. I kicked many a '96-'98 GT's *** with it, and a few fox's. Never ran up on a PI car in it.

 

i kinda like the look of those new camary's plus they have a lot more kick to them now.
