Umm Spyder..

Umm Spyder..
Well we didnt really race.. But i have a 97 Gt bassicly stock.. Exhaust and a intake.
I pull up to this 2g spyder GS and i was trying to say wanna go..
well i had to get up to 70 to get to him so i start to slow down. he prob got up to 3 cars ahead of me.
he guns it so i go after him.. and then as i caught up traffic hits and we slow down.
i take a left and he follows behind
i start to slow down i wanna go from a roll at like 40 or something.
He flys by again and i go after him but a sharp turn is ahead so we both slow..
i stop at a light and he says is that auto is it ur dadys car and what not..
I say nah its a stick and its mine.. I ask him if hes got a turbo in not (at the time didnt know if it was GS or GS-T) He goes i dont know.. I say 4G64? he goes i dont know..
well in the end he never got even with me and would just take off.
A stock GS has like 140 hp and i have 215 stock..
Im new to my mustang from a 40 roll or from a stop i shoulda been able to take him right?
this kinda made me mad he wouldnt line up and just keep flying by.

+1 what ^^ said.
had you 2 raced, itd have been a drivers race in all honesty probably. being you have a non-PI headed 4.6....itd have been close unless 1) he couldnt drive or 2) you can drive REALLY good and he could drive ok. or it was the 4-cyl. the V6 would have probably given u a good run if he had took the bait.

When you say 2g you meant 95-99 right? If that's the case, you wouldv'e absolutely destroyed it. If it was a turbo it would be a much better race, but you probably wouldv'e still won with it being a vert.

this spyder was a 2g spyder
GS or GST are the only 2g spyders i belive.
It was a GS w/ 141 HP stock dont know if it was stock didnt see any gauges anywhere in the car to belive it was turbo unless he was a mad sleeper..
But blah I gota get a new engine or a PI swap
that just pissed me off.
