Ok i was just wondering who you think would win in a race.....Im going to the track wednesday with my friend he has a Mazda6 auto vs my 97 stick. Ill start off by saying i raced him a while ago when his car was stock he ran a 16.3 and i ran a 16.0....now he added cat back and a cai, and i added just a cai, do you think he can beat me now....his car comes stock with 215hp and 200 tq now he added about 30hp/30tq (his **** was dyno proven..so the manufacture says) so his car sits around 245hp and 230tq and im guessing im at 160hp and 225tq (not at wheels) so your output?

 

dyno proven my @ss.....first rule of the modding hobby is never believe what they say about HP increases.........i think you will still beat him

 

i wish you could tell him that...he thinks hes gonna own me this time

 

if i listened to "dyno proven" advertised HP increases i would have.....

(cant remember what was advertised but this is pretty damn close)

X pipe- 25hp
TB/Plenum- 20hp
CAI- 10hp
Tuner-20hp

and ford says my car makes 260hp stock soooooooo

according to all of that, the casual observer would believe that i make 365hp when in reality i make 250 to the rear wheels.........sad isnt it?

 

+1 u can expect 2-4hp from a CAI and deff. not 30hp and 30tq from a catback alone. i agree with stanggang, u got em
