ok... at least i know my first mod will be the saleen sc.
there's this guy i work with, both got off at 11 PM so we thought of givin' it kick.
stopped at a light both turning left. me on the inner lane him on the outer.
got on a straight line, game on. he immediately pulled about 3 lengths in front. that freakin' thing was fast.
at one point I was starting to catch up but not too fast. got to the next stop light and took off our way.
the thing that eats me alive is that he's saying that with his paxton he's puttin' 275 rwhp. either he's smokin' somethin' that I want and that thing is putting out a lot more, or that initial boost is unbelievable.
anyway to have my *** burnt by a supercharged four-liner felt bad.

Just because you have more HP then him, doesn't mean anything... because I imagine his car is lighter. Although you said you started catching up to him, which means his car really isn't that much faster. You'll definately toast him with the SC, I imagine.

His car weighs close to 800lbs less than yours, and unless you are supercharged or nitrous he is putting down somewhere in the neighborhood of power you are.

He is a high to mid 12 second car if driven correctly... at the same time I've seen people run supercharged S2k's like his to 14.1's... As I've said before only 10% of S2k drivers know how to drive their car well... sounds like you ran into one

I'm not saying i would trade my baby for a s2k. it's just that I was amazed to see how fast that damn thing took off. I'm sure without his sc I would've blown him.

Should have went from a dig. You might have lasted a little longer. The power he's claiming is about right from a S/C but he could always be layin down more. Even without FI he could have given you a good run for your money. But like screaming yellow said it has to be the right driver.

I was bored reading in a grocery store line and I was reading an import mag since the cover read "S/C your Import" It had the costs and estimated gains from the S/C kits, it was PATHETIC. The parasitic loss is too much for those little engines, they do much better with Turbos. That would have probably been ugly, and I really doubt you would have started to catch back up.
