LT1 Camaros and Trans ams weren't any quicker than the GT's???

Anyway it was good time and it great not having the slowest car there.

was it your first time? I remember my 1st, I wasnt really even into modding until that night...

 

This is my 3rd time running my Gt. I had a Dodge spirit stock that ran almost as fast a trap speed as my gt but because of traction problems I'd got a 14.9 out of it.

that why you need as older fox body with a carb so you can make it run 9s and smoke there ***...remember ,,heads,soild roller cam,,compression,3.73s and a stick and a 175 shot is all it takes..

 

Yeah or a big CI non chevy of your choice, like anything over 7L and a light car, 11:1 a solid 3000 stall 3.55 gears and wheelstands and low et's are just a click click shift away. Screw that stupid $15k to run 12's in a Honda crap!

Saleen 281 is basically a gt with 4.6 liter motor with upgraded exaust and sweet body kit. I've seen two down here never break a 14.1. I believe their 280 hp. One guy put a pro charger on his and now is running 13.0 on street tires.
